The project scope entailed the supply and installation the mechanical and electrical equipment for two pumping stations and a chlorination facility.

The 468m3/h raw water vertical turbine pump draws water from the Komati river and pumps the raw water to a balancing tank were the raw water is chlorinated, the 360 m3/h multi-stage high lift centrifugal pumps then pump the chlorinated water from the balancing tank to the Kamaqhekeza reservoir which is approx 10km away.

New electrical incomer, main MCC and instrumentation equipment is provided to control all new equipment.
