Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all EC&I project outputs in accordance with contractual requirements, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Support the tendering team by providing technical input, specifications, supplier recommendations, and technical adjudication.
  • Take full technical responsibility for Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) design scope.
  • Attend client, supplier, contractor, and internal interface meetings as required.
  • Provide technical support to site teams, including installation guidance, supplier coordination, and commissioning assistance where necessary.
  • Ensure effective use and continuous improvement of PCI Africa engineering tools to maximise efficiency and standardisation.
  • Maintain discipline knowledge and contribute to organisational knowledge sharing within the EC&I function.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and PCI Africa engineering processes and procedures as directed by the Engineering Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc or BTech Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 Years of relevant project experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
  • Sufficient site-based project works and commissioning experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in applying ISO/IEC standards.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist/Engineer with ECSA (or in process of registering).
