The Opportunity
You’ll run full lifecycle projects—from contract handover to commissioning and beyond. Expect high-level responsibility, direct client interface, and the chance to lead large multidisciplinary teams across the continent.
What you’ll do
- Manage design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out
- Develop and implement detailed project quality and execution plans
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accurate input and efficient delivery
- Control project budgets, track variances, issue payment certificates, and drive cost recovery
- Oversee supplier and subcontractor relationships and schedules
- Monitor health, safety, and compliance in line with ISO 9001:2015 and legal standards
- Prepare tender enquiries, adjudicate bids, and manage procurement
- Maintain robust reporting systems for cost, schedule, risk, and quality
- Interface with clients, consultants, and executive leadership
- Ensure lessons learned and organizational knowledge are retained for future projects
What you’ll bring
- BSc/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in water or mining industries
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, risk-based thinking, and the process approach
- Strong grasp of contractual, commercial, and legal project components
